3rd April...Hi every1! sorry 4 not updatin lately, really busy in school. Here is the recent newsletter where Mickey speaks:

Good to be back!!!
Well here I am back in the land of the living…as they say!
Just writing to you from Grouse Lodge Recording Studion right spank bang in the center of Ireland. This place is amazing….it even has its own swimming pool so I'm in me element! Just in case you don't know we're recording the new single here, 'A New Way to Fly'. It's a song I wrote in Sweden late last year and I've enlisted co-writer Patrik Andrén to help produce the track. He's a great guy! We're releasing it on May 7th, so ask your record store to stock it!
So we had a really good time in Holland and I was delighted that some of our very dedicated Irish fans had traveled there to be with us for the gigs- a really nice surprise! Thanks you lot…. Many thanks to Mark Gilligan from Poucha Promotions for setting up the gigs- he's another great guy!
So I traveled straight from Holland to Chicago via London, and by the time I got there I was pretty knackered but had a day to recover. Then, on the 16th I played Gaelic Park in Chicago and thouroughly enjoyed it. We had brought loads of CD's with us to sell at the gigs and for promotion, but managed to sell themk all at our first gig in Chicago! All the staff and management there were fantastic and really made me feel very welcome.
The next day, Paddy's day we left a very snowy Chicago in the morning and arrived late afternoon in a very sunny Nashville…. We played in Dan McGuinness's and were joined by my good friend Tony Kerr originally from Derry but has been living in Nashville for sometime now. Tony and I wrote 'Total Love' there a few years ago. And I was able to present and I was able to present him with a Gold Disc for sales of 'Never Wanna Let You Down', 'Total Love' was a B-Side on that. So next day we flew to Austin, Texas for the South by South West (SxSW) Music Festival. It was an amazing experience. Loads of the best bands and singer songwriters that many countries could produce…. People from all over the world in one of the highlights for me was getting to perform on 'Austin's Music Network' really cool TV Station. I sang 'A Chance For You and Me' and 'Never Wanna Let You Down' and did a really funny interview with Amber, the presen ter (cool girl!). And I was particularly pleased that I was able to bring me Big Bro Jim out for a bit of a break. It was his first time to the States and he's already planning to go back next year!! We had a lot of fun!! It was also nice to have him there when I received the good news about Ceola, we has a few beers with some friends to celebrate. All is good, thank God!
So that's it for another wee while. Keep your ears and eyes out for the new single and lets hope we can get it to number 1! We need your help on this one, thanks folks, talk soon!

Awwwww. Thanx Mickey 4 the update! Other news...Mickey has been named an Irish Person of the Year, winning for the month of March. Other winners include Damien Duff, Mary McAleese, Brian Kerr and Neil Jordan. Go Mickey!!! And did ya's all hear bout da new single? It's called "A New Way To Fly" and it comes out on May 7th. 24th March...Well, im sure ye have all heard the great news of Mickey & Louises new baby girl, Ceola Claire Harte. Well done guys & all the best. 19th March...Hi everyone! Hope you all had a wicked St.Paddy's Day! I went to da Letterkenny parade, was good enough.Not as good as last year tho, cos Mickey performed at it! ah well, he's busy gigging in the USA at da mo so I hope hes getting on well. The photos from Germany are now on Mickeys official site. Also you can now buy Mickeys music by shopping over at Mickey Harte Official!!! Check that out. I have put a pic of Mickey with his autograph underneath in the All about Mickey section, so have a look if ya wanna c his autograph. I have added a new page 'The Harte of the Matter' which contains archives of the newsletter. Oh my goodness! I have added a listen thingy where you can listen to mickey harte SPEAK (sheena u'll love this cos u love his accent!) about water safety. its on the homepage of my fun section so go there now & listen to Mickeys advice on Water Safety. 14th March...Hi everyone! Guess what! I heard from Sheena dat Mickey could possibly be a contestant on this years cabin fever! Wouldn't that be grrreat! 27th February...I forgot to mention the newsletter where Mickey actually wrote it himself!!! I was soooo happy when I received the e-mail. If you still havn't yet subscribed to receive the monthly newsletter do so now on the official site!!! Here is what Mickey wrote in the e-mail:
hidihi there folks... well I thought Id get the chance to say hello and thanks personally b4 now, but thankfully i've been keepin meself very busy doin loadsa stuff.. and always seem to leave my emailing duties til last... because im a one finger typer... if you know what I mean. Anyway you probably know nearly as much as me of whats goin on and maybe even sometimes a bit more... as you know we done some gigs in December, and I was delighted to see so many of you at them, it was a great way to finish off a great year... so we had a bit of a break over Christmas, recharged the batteries and started back on the 3rd of January... since then I've been concentrating on writing and recording some new material for the next album... and you can get a sneak preview of one of the new tracks I wrote "I WONT WAIT" this Sun (Feb 29) on "You're A Star" on RTE1 @ 8pm. I'm really pleased with it and I hope you like it... we intend to release it after we return from touring in Germany, Holland and the States sometime in April. We also spent some time in France at the end of January at MIDEM (international music fest) and we got some fantastic work done there and were received really well... so fingers crossed we might get to release something in Europe and beyond later this year... and just in case you dont know I've been nominated for two Meteor Awards (best male vocal & best pop) - you can vote for me until Feb 25 not much time left so hurry! So dats me and me wan finger for now... thanks again for all your support I really do appreciate it bucket loads... so from a very sunny but blowy Donegal... god bless mj.

The Swedish Expedition
Mickey spent a week in Sweden writing songs with three Swedish songwriters,Urban Robertsson, Fredrik Norberg and Ulf Turesson. Urban and Fredrik are both quite rootsy, and were in rock bands, but have moved to writing more pop-like numbers as that is now more popular at the moment. Ulf has written a lot with Tore Johansson (The Cardigans).
Back at home, Mickey also spent time writing with Irish songwriters Kieran Goss (Mary and Frances Black), Brendan Murphy (The 4 of Us) and Billy Farrell (The Corrs).

The Face Of EU Presidency In Donegal

The Denim Day 2004 - Mickey Supports
This year's Denim Day falls on Friday April 30th, in aid of the Irish Youth Foundation. The campaign is in its 10th year and takes place in over 2500 schools and businesses throughout Ireland to alleviate poverty and pain that suffered by 24 per cent of children in Ireland. Through a national PR campaign, schools colleges and businesses are urged to wear denim and donate EUR2 for the privilege. All monnies raised goes to the Irish Youth Foundation.

The MIDEM Event In France
Mickey attended the MIDEM Music Convention in Cannes, France, where he performed four showcases. All gigs were well received and there was a lot of attention from international music industry companies.

Concert For Victims Of Iranian Earthquake
On February 3rd, Mickey attended a charity concert in the Abbey Centre, Ballyshannon, Co.Donegal in aid of Iranian Earthquake Victims. Also performing on the night were local artists and choirs who all donated their services to the worthy cause. All proceeds from the night went to the Red Cross.

Children's Hospital Raffle
Just before Christmas, Mickey was asked to draw the winner for a BMW in Liffey Valley Shopping Centre. Substantial funds were raised for Our Lady's Children's Hospital, Crumlin that go towards the building of a National Resource Centre, which will be open at the end of 2004.

25th January...Hiya's!!! i have added a new page called 'I luv my camcorder'! It sounds weird but its about Mickey Harte! 22nd January...Hi everyone! I have no new news about Mickey! I just hope he's getting on well with his tour in Europe, At the moment Mickey is in Cannes, France attending the Music conference/festival and showcase where he will play some gigs. In March, Mickey will be in Germany, Holland, America (New York, Texas, L.A., and San Diego) and the SXSW Festival, in Texas. Now you know what car Mickey drives!!! There was a picture of him beside the car but unfortunately I have no scanner to show it! But take my word for it-it was lovely! Did anyone see S@ttitude this morning? There was a seven yr old boy singing We've Got the World! There was also a competition 2 win a Hi-fi & DVD player and the question was 'What is Mickey Joe's surname'! I entered but didn't win! I never have luck with Mickey competitions!

I have good news(this was in my local donegal paper): "Last year's winner of 'You're A Star' Mickey Harte is currently recording a new follow-up album in Stockholm and his hit single 'We've Got the World' was the best selling single of 2003 and will be issued throughout Europe in March". They were nearly beaten to death by a gang of thugs but thankfully they are on recover. 5th january...Hiya! Did you all watch 'You're A Star' last night? Did ya see Mickey Harte comin in at the end! His hair is cool! It has blonde and a wee tint of red streaks at the top! 2nd January...Hi everyone! Hope you had a good Christmas and a Happy New year to all!!! Did you all see Mickey on the Lyrics Board Christmas Special? He ROCKED!!! Firstly, I loved his outfit - a blue shirt and white trousers, he looked yummy!!! Secondly, he sang 'Santa Claus Is Coming To Town', 'The Island' & 'Fairytale of New York', my fave song!!! He sang & performed brilliantly! Thirdly his team won! Yeah, go on de Mickey!!! OK, moving on! On 2FM yesterday they were counting the Top 100 songs of 2003 and Mickey Harte had the best selling single of 2003 with 'We've Got The World' at No.1! 'Never wanna let u down' was No.31! Mickey was also voted best showbiz personality of the year!!! And he got 'The third best thing that has happened in 2003'!!! There is a new S.O.T.M. Congratulations to Clare for winning the award for January 2004! Her site is a Brian Ormond fansite & even though I'm not a fan I love her site!!! It's wicked! So check it out! Her cert is in the S.O.T.M. section! I have an article about Mickey which I will add as soon as it's typed up & there is a very important thing I have to get up on my site, it's about the Irish Meteor Music Awards in march and Mickey Harte is nominated so I want all the fans to vote for him in every category that is possible! 20th December...Mickey Harte was on open house on Wednesday. He sang 'Here At The Right Time' with one of his band mates Ciaran and they sang it brilliantly. Oh my God, guess what! Wait for it....Mickey Harte is gonna be on the Lyrics Board Christmas Special on RTE1 at 7.30pm on Christmas Day! Definately watch it if you are a fan of Mickey Harte...God I'm good, finding out that bit of information! (ye all probably think I'm mad in the head!)

17th December...On my X-mas hols now...Yipeeeee! Mickey Hartes album is now gone triple platinum. Mickey said in the new year he will be touring other countries in Europe. I hope he doesnt leave Ireland for too long! We love you Mickey!
14th December...Hello again! Im updatin twice today in case I dont have time durin the week!
NEWS: I would like to express my sympathy to Mickey Harte, his wife louise & all their relations after the death of Louise's father, Mickey's father-in-law. Other news includes: The compilation album with Mickey singing Beyonces song went in at No.2 in the charts. Mickey is very pleased and said if you have a couple of spare euro buy a copy and he mentioned some of the singers. this is what he said "There is Mickey Harte, Damien Rice, Mundy, Mickey Harte, Paddy Casey, Mickey Harte!!!" He was counting on his fingers as he was sayin it! Hes so funny! 'There Must Be Love' is No.25 in the charts and the album Sometimes Right, Sometimes Wrong is still in the Top 40, last week at No.32 and this week at no.40! I have also decided that Site of the Month will now be awarded to any site I like (not just Mickey sites because there are not enough!) 14th December...Oh my god! All I can say is WOW! How talented is Mickey Harte? The concert last night in Letterkenny was my 3rd time to go to a gig and by far the best!!! People say its the best gig all year and I have to agree! Mickey is without doubt the best singer-songwriter & performer in Ireland. He sand loadsa songs, all the ones on his album, new songs, songs that we could join in with eg. 'I'll tell Me Ma', he sang Beyonces 'Crazy In Love' and he sang Christmas songs. My fave had to be 'Fairytale of New York!' Superb. He even sang Happy Birthday to his wife Louise who was there as it was her birthday yesterday, 13 Dec. Im gonna write up a review of the concert when I have time. Mickey came to the edge of the stage and I jumped outta my seat and reached out to touch him and he reached out to me & smiled and when I felt his hand and at that moment which lasted a matter of seconds, my heart was goin mad!!! (i get carried away, sorry!) Oh and another thing, when he was singing Santa Claus Is Coming To Town he said "He knows if you are sleeping......with someone!" Everyone was laughing! My advice is if you havent seen Mickey Harte live in concert GET TICKETS NOW!!! You will then realise he is a star! And I also wanna say his band ROX esp. John Mc Gragh & Ciaran - he winked & smiled at me!

NEWS: There is an album called 'Better Than The Real Thing' out featuring irish singers and songwriters singing their own unique version of recent chart hits! My advice to you is BUY IT as Mickey Harte is singing Beyonce's Crazy In love!!! That should be good! The compilation is for charity & all proceeds go to the National Childrens Hospital in Tallaght so support this good cause! One week to go untill I see Mickey Harte in concert & I canny wait!!!

29th November....Hi everyone!
News: Oh my God! Mickey left a msg on da msgboard...he saw my site!!!Mickey Harte was on the Late Late Toy Show, he was brilliant and so good humored (as usual!) He performed There Must Be Love and chatted about a toy!!! I watched Your A Star and one thing made me quite angry. Some girl said she sang witht Mickey Joe before he was famous and then louis Walsh opened his mouth and said "Is he famous?" I thought that was mean & rude. Mickey is famous throughout Ireland and I read in the paper stocks of his album Sometimes Right Sometimes Wrong are being imported to Sweden so he will hopefully become famous out there! Mickey has dropped to No.24 in the charts.
UPDATES: I have put a new christmas banner on the homepage since everywhere I go there seem to be decorations up! heehee I have added a new fan enconter from Sinead, thanx loads for that heehee. I love readin 2 other fan stories - she was really lucky to be called up on stage by MICKEY!!! Go to the fans stories to find out more... 19th November...Hey every1! Have updated the articles section with 2 new articles. Added a news archive(all the old news from my old site) to the bottom of the news & updates page! Have added all the comments left in my old guestbook to the Guestbook page! By the way Mickey mentioned on the radio that he is very proud to become the father of a new baby so louise is pregnant! Congratulations Mickey & Louise! (PS. This is to do with Mickeys personal life so I wouldnt have mentioned anything but he said it to the public on the radio anyway. I would never think of exploiting mickeys personal life, he has a right to privacy.hope you all understand what i mean)

Guess what! I was comin home from school and Highland Radio was on and the next minute I could hear that unmistakable accent from Mickey Harte!!! He was chatting live about the new single and other stuff and then he sang Practical and Bloom In To You LIVE!!! He was class! I wish I was at home so I could of taped it, sure what can ye do?! REMEMBER: THE NEW SINGLE OUT TOMORROW: BUY IT as soon as possible to get Mickey No.1 in the charts! He has hard competition from Westlife so plz plz help him! Thanx a bunch! NEWS: I heard Mickey Harte is comin 2 da Courtyard Shopping Centre (letterkenny) in December to perform and give out autographs!!! (I dont know the actual date!) Yay! I can just walk down and meet him!!! So for all you people who live near letterkenny and are fans of Mickey make sure you get there! Mickeys new single There must Be love will have 2 new tracks on it! One of them is Practical (more known as the Red Bull & Vodka song!) It is a class song written by Mickey and I can say it would be one of his best (well i think so cos he performs it GRRRRREAT at his gigs!) the other track is called Bloom in to You. Never heard it yet but its probably fantastic like all the others! Rite now for sum updates!
